Angela paints in a variety of media, enjoying oils as much as watercolours. Recently she has concentrated on the less familiar but exiting challenges of mixed media, using acrylics, gouache, water soluble pencils and inks which combine to produce strong and enriched work. Painting outside or from sketches gives Angela’s work a fresh and spontaneous feel with colour used in wide sweeps with layers of glaze producing a balance between colour and subject. A lover of the English Countryside, it’s patterns, it’s seasons and it’s waterways, and its’ flora and fauna, all are favourite subjects and can be seen repeatedly in Angela’s work. Angela achieved international acclaim when she won the PRO.ART prize in Switzerland and subsequently the Laing Painting Competition. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and she is a regular exhibitor at the Mall Galleries in London. Her paintings are in private collections around the world, particularly in Australia and America. .
